Uinta County commissioners on July 1 reaffirmed the county Emergency Operations Plan during an annual endorsement required when new commissioners are seated.

Heidi Lundberg of Emergency Management said there were no revisions to the plan at this time and that the endorsement is a formal acknowledgement of the commissioners’ roles under the plan. Lundberg described the plan as the county’s framework for preparing for, responding to and recovering from emergencies.

A commissioner moved to approve the emergency operations plan as presented, and the commission voted aye.

County staff said endorsement confirms the commissioners’ part in the plan and does not change operational protocols. The plan remains in effect until the county amends it or adopts revisions in a future meeting.
