Waupaca council approves expanded outdoor alcohol service for Par 4 Resort Packers watch party

The Waupaca Common Council on July 1 approved a request to expand the outdoor alcohol service area for a Packers watch party at Par 4 Resort, 201 Fox Fire Drive, scheduled for Sept. 7, 2025, with outdoor activities allowed from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The council’s approval came after a brief presentation by a Par 4 representative and a question from an attendee about music curfew. Katie Colby, speaking for Par 4, said the event will include screens and live music and that “it’ll start going down around 9. But then be done for sure by 10.” The council voted on a motion to approve the request; Paul Hagen moved and Dave Peterson seconded the motion, which carried on a voice vote.
City Clerk Barb Nowak confirmed the request fit within permitted uses and that the police department had been consulted. No conditions beyond the stated hours were announced on the council floor.
Par 4’s watch party was described as a community appreciation event that will close the resort’s parking lot for the outdoor area; organizers said performers will include Spicy Tie prior to the Packers game. The council did not record a roll-call tally for this vote on the audio; the motion was adopted by voice vote.
The approval covers only the outdoor service-area expansion for the Sept. 7 event. Any further modifications to hours, amplified sound, or alcohol service beyond the approved area would require additional review or authorization by the council or city staff.
