The Newfield LMC Board approved a memorandum of understanding with Ashland University to provide field experience placements and internships for the 2025–26 school year.

The superintendent presented a single supplemental item asking the board to approve the MOU; trustees voted by roll call with Miss Fontana, Mister McMath and Mister Gallantyne recorded as voting yes. The MOU will allow Ashland University students to complete field experience and internship requirements in district schools during the 2025–26 academic year.

The meeting record does not include the MOU's detailed terms, number of placements, supervision arrangements or any compensation or insurance terms; staff indicated the measure was a standard field-experience agreement for the coming school year and moved it for approval.
