At a special meeting that immediately preceded its regular session on May 28, the Anchor Bay School District Board of Education designated Board Member Brian Powers as the district’s voting representative for the Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD) biennial election and named Dominic Vendatelli as the alternate.
During the special meeting the board reviewed the three candidates on the ballot — Edward V. Farley (incumbent), Donald R. Hubler (incumbent) and Ian Colin McCain — and voted to instruct their designee to cast the district’s vote for Donald R. Hubler and Ian Colin McCain at the MISD meeting on Monday, June 2, 2025.
Board members discussed schedules and noted the MISD meeting window runs in the afternoon and early evening; Powers volunteered to serve as the district’s designee and Vendatelli agreed to be the alternate in case Powers was unavailable because of graduation duties.
The board approved both the designation of the voting representative and the selection of Hubler and McCain in roll-call votes recorded in the May 28 meeting minutes.
