The Newfield LMC Board approved a package of fiscal actions during its July meeting, including vendor contracts for fiscal year 2026, increases to athletic ticket prices and a resolution joining the Ohio Coalition for Equity and Adequacy in School Funding.
The board approved the Ulmerisa contract for fiscal year 2026 in the amount of $151,673.17 and an accompanying Ulmerisa agreement for final forms totaling $13,680. Trustees also approved a Vasco field-care agreement for $10,000 and a $5,000 contract to demolish the property at 209 Ray Avenue. The board additionally rescinded a prior action related to Bridges Excavating from the June 9 meeting and accepted donations from Rebecca Beitzel, an organization listed as "Quaker Ladies," and Fulton Title.
The board voted to increase athletic ticket prices to the following levels: high school adult $8, high school student $5, middle school adult $6 and middle school student $3. The treasurer presented these items as part of the fiscal-year opening work, which also included amended appropriations and certificates of estimated resources for fiscal year 2025 and routine transfers from the general fund for summer school and the stadium project.
The board adopted a resolution authorizing the district to join the Ohio Coalition for Equity and Adequacy in School Funding. The treasurer also asked the board to approve the certificate of estimated resources and temporary appropriations necessary to open fiscal year 2026; both measures were approved by roll call vote.
All motions in this package were moved and seconded on the record and passed by roll call. Board members on record voting yes were Miss Fontana, Mister McMath and Mister Gallantyne.
The actions finalize several vendor contracts and set line items and temporary appropriations for the district's fiscal year 2026 budget. The district did not provide further detail in the meeting about multi-year terms for the named contracts, or whether outside approvals are required for repurposing funds for the demo or field-care work.
