The Northville Public Schools Board of Education approved one‑year probationary NEA teacher contracts for three candidates recommended by the district hiring committee: Alexa Kiefer (high‑school English), Bryce Baumgart (elementary physical education) and Griffin Bozen (elementary physical education).
The motion (117) to award the contracts was presented by Secretary Meyer and approved by the board by roll call, 7‑0. Administrators described Kiefer as a Northville High School graduate and Michigan State University alumna who student‑taught in the district; Baumgart and Bozen were described as recent teacher‑education program graduates with strong references and classroom routines experience.
During the presentation, administrators noted classroom fit and references. The hires take place on the heels of the retirement recognition and were described by board members as part of ongoing staffing and succession work.
The board welcomed the new teachers after the vote.
