Council extends Baker Tilly audit contract, approves 2025 TID budgets

The Superior Common Council on July 1 approved two recommendations from its finance committee: a two-year extension of the city udit contract with Baker Tilly and adoption of the 2025 tax increment district (TID) budgets.
The clerk read the finance committee recommendations. The motion to extend Baker Tilly's audit contract for an additional two years to expire Dec. 31, 2026 was moved by Councilor Elms and seconded by Councilor Herrick; the motion carried by voice vote. The council then approved the 2025 TID budgets on a motion by Councilor Allen, seconded by Councilor Moffitt; that motion also carried.
In its report the finance committee noted other items under review including grant applications held for further documentation, ongoing ARPA funds tracking, and three finalists for a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) financial-management system with vendor demonstrations scheduled later in the summer. The committee also said the transition of the city's public museums will likely require a special revenue fund and a budget amendment to support operations through the end of the year; that potential amendment was presented as committee background, not as a council action at the July 1 meeting.
Councilors recorded no further debate on the two votes taken at the meeting.
