The business director reported the first-year increase agreed to in the contract is 4.75%, followed by negotiated increases in subsequent years; speakers said the contract includes a reconvening point after year three to review alignment with the district budget.
Board members credited staff and colleagues for negotiation work and noted that stable multi-year contracts were part of a district strategy to control recurring costs. The motion to approve the extension passed on a roll-call vote described as unanimous.
