The Egg Harbor Township Committee introduced three ordinances during the meeting.
Ordinance 15, read by Mr. Freeman, would appropriate $5,000,000 and authorize issuance of $4,750,000 in bonds or notes to finance various township capital improvements, equipment and vehicle purchases. The ordinance was introduced and a public hearing was set for June 18, 2025, at 5 p.m.
Ordinance 16 would amend Chapter 1‑65 (Parks and Recreation Areas), specifically section 1‑65‑3 (hours), to extend permitted hours for use of the courts at MK Betterment Park until 11 p.m. The purpose stated was to align MK Betterment Park hours with other township parks. A public hearing was scheduled for June 18, 2025, at 5 p.m.
Ordinance 17 amends Ordinance 5 of 2025 (salary ordinance) to add a new position and salary range for 2025; its public hearing is also set for June 18, 2025, at 5 p.m.
