FAYETTEVILLE — The Fayetteville‑Manlius Board of Education approved a series of routine and fiscal items Wednesday, including bus and capital bonds, a small consulting contract and personnel actions, and completed votes on minutes and other agenda items.
On the consent agenda the Board approved a bus bond resolution and a revised capital improvement bond resolution. The Board also authorized the superintendent to execute a consulting agreement with John Durkee for an amount not to exceed $5,000. The Board approved Policy 02/1945 (replacing policy 13‑21) on second reading and approved personnel actions submitted at the meeting.
A motion to approve minutes of a May 20 special meeting passed, but three trustees recorded abstentions on that vote. Following an executive session, the Board approved a student disciplinary matter and returned to approve personnel motions in the public record.
Motions and votes recorded on the public record included multiple named makers and seconders for these items; meeting minutes show routine roll‑call procedures and no reported dissents on bond and consulting approvals. The Board recessed into executive session for personnel and student‑discipline matters and reconvened to complete public votes. No ordinances or long‑term contracts beyond the $5,000 consulting agreement were approved at this meeting.
The Board indicated it will finalize committee assignments and prepare for summer and fall calendars, with a reorganization meeting scheduled for July.
