The Winton Woods City School Board awarded the bid for the future central-office parking lot and driveway after receiving a bid tabulation and an architect's letter of recommendation.
Superintendent Denny told the board the packet included a bid tabulation and a recommendation from the architect vetting the contractor as the lowest, most responsible bidder. Mister Day and an SHP representative who met early with the city were available to answer questions. A board member asked whether the city permit had been approved; staff said permitting with the City of Forest Park is in process and that the contractor will likely be involved in stormwater permitting.
Denny said the district met with city officials early in the design stage and "we got that out of the way right in the beginning," and staff reported no new underground requirements had been raised. The board approved the bid award unanimously.
