Superintendent Denny introduced the resolution as a routine, time-of-year item and invited staff to provide context. A staff member identified as Mister Bennett explained the district will now use a two-step process: the board first approves a general resolution declaring impracticality for specific schools, and the district then posts a separate child-specific list of students who would be affected. Bennett said the child-specific list will be available under administrative content in BoardDocs (restricted view) to protect student privacy and that the change follows guidance in the transportation services handbook released in February 2025.
A board member asked whether the list would be the same as past lists; staff confirmed the school list was unchanged and that the individualized list will be submitted next month. The board voted to approve the resolution unanimously.
