The Winton Woods City School Board approved final appropriations for fiscal year 2024–25, adopted temporary appropriations for 2025–26 and accepted the district's May investment report at a regular meeting.
Board Treasurer Mister Seymour told the board that month-to-date general fund revenues were about $4,400,000, including state foundation payments, homestead and rollback receipts and approximately $480,000 in Medicaid reimbursement. He said year-to-date expenditures were about $56,100,000 and that the district was running roughly 3.8% under budget on about $31,000,000 of planned expenditures. "You have had the reports and, on before you," Seymour said while summarizing the materials for the board.
Seymour also reported about $29,000,000 in total investments for May, producing roughly $102,000 in total interest, with $87,452 credited to the general fund and $14,674 to the building fund. The board voted to approve the investment report as presented.
The board approved a resolution to amend final appropriations for fiscal 2024–25 to align certain state and federal project accounts with the timing of outside grant and program fiscal years; Seymour said an amended certificate of estimated resources would be filed with the Hamilton County Auditor to reflect those changes. The board also approved a temporary appropriations resolution for 2025–26 to give the treasurer authority to process payroll, pay bills, and cover purchase orders and utilities until a final appropriations measure is adopted in September.
All votes on these items were recorded as unanimous. Following the treasurer's presentations, a board member thanked Seymour for keeping the board informed during a period of policy and funding uncertainty.
The actions will allow the district to continue normal financial operations while staff finalize revenues and a final budget for 2025–26.
