Council approves $99,500 contract to relocate AMI equipment on Community Circle tank

The Roswell Mayor and City Council on June 30 authorized the mayor and/or city administrator to award a contract with Kendall Supply Inc. for up to $99,500 to relocate advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) equipment currently on the Community Circle water tank. Staff also recommended allocating an additional $25,500 for unforeseen circumstances related to the relocation.
Brian Watson, director of Environmental Public Works, said the AMI equipment is part of the water utility’s advanced metering infrastructure system and that staff recommended awarding the relocation contract to Kendall Supply for $99,500, with a $25,500 contingency. Council member David Johnson moved approval; Council member William Mortland seconded. The motion passed unanimously (6-0).
The approval authorizes execution of the contract and contingency allocation; staff did not identify additional policy changes or public comment related to the work at the meeting.
