Christian County Commission announces holiday closures, next meeting schedule and enters closed session on litigation

“Friday is a holiday, and so all the court buildings and county buildings will be closed on Friday for a national holiday, Fourth of July,” Morris said. “We will not have a commission meeting this Thursday.”
Morris said the commission can call an emergency meeting if needed and that staff will work with commissioners and the clerk’s office to arrange it. She also said the July 10 meeting is expected to be held upstairs because a large crowd is anticipated.
Later in the session, the commission voted to hold a closed session under Section 610.021(1), RSMo, citing litigation as the reason for the closed meeting. The commission moved into closed session after a motion and second and recorded the action as pursuant to "610.021-1 litigation." No further details about the litigation were disclosed in open session.
