Village of Hartland announcers list summer and fall events: Kids Day, National Night Out, street dance and holiday activities

Parade announcers promoted upcoming community events including Heartland Kids Day (July 30), National Night Out (Aug. 7), a children’s business fair (Aug. 14), the Heartland Chamber street dance (Aug. 23) and Heartland Lights (Dec. 5).
During the parade broadcast announcers promoted a slate of Village of Hartland community events through the end of the year.
Highlights announced by hosts included:
- Heartland Kids Day — July 30 at Nixon Park, 9 a.m.–1 p.m., family activities with bounce houses, a rock wall, demonstrations and vendor activities. Announcers said the Lake Country Rotary splash pad will be available during the event.
- National Night Out — Aug. 7 at Nixon Park, a free community event to support the Heartland Police Department, the Heartland Fire Department and the Department of Public Works; announcers said families can explore trucks and that a “Flight for Life” landing was planned on the baseball field.
- Children’s Business Fair — Aug. 14 at Nixon Park for children ages 6–14 to create and market products and learn money-handling skills; announcers indicated this was the event’s second year.
- Heartland Chamber Street Dance — Aug. 23 downtown, with a kid area, a cornhole tournament and live music through the evening; announcers listed bands scheduled throughout the day.
- Heartland Lights / tree lighting — Dec. 5 downtown; businesses will be open with holiday activities and a drone show was mentioned as planned for the season.
Announcers encouraged residents to subscribe to the village newsletter and follow the Village of Hartland Facebook page for notices and updates. They repeatedly directed listeners to the village website homepage for official details, including event hours and any last-minute changes.
