At the meeting the Barry County Board of Commissioners approved the consent agenda and several financial items by roll call vote. The consent agenda motion, made by Smelker and supported by Hatfield, included approval of minutes from May 27, disposal of a 2012 Ford Transit Connect (VIN NMOKS9BN7CT124170), a special assessment agreement for a proposed project at 420 East Mill Street, and the opioid settlement fund scoring work group's recommendation to award $15,000 to the Barry County Serenity Club for partial emergency funding.
Separately, a motion by Bassett, supported by Toonison, approved prepaid invoices in the amount of $2,739,935.88; the clerk called the roll and commissioners voted aye, recording the motion as approved. The board also approved claims in the amount of $52,933.88 and commissioner mileage reimbursements totaling $674.97 by roll call.
The motions were procedural approvals; no discussion was allowed on items on the consent agenda per board rules and no amendments to the opioid‑fund award were recorded during the meeting.
