Developer says PACE financing and state incentives in place; demolition planned and July 1 groundbreaking set

Greg Taylor of Copper Rock Construction and Development told the Barry County Board of Commissioners that the company has finalized PACE financing and that state incentives were approved "yesterday," enabling the developer to accelerate site work. "We have everything in place, including some state incentives that were actually finally approved yesterday," Taylor said.
Taylor said crews will begin increased activity immediately, that the remaining warehouse on the site "will probably be demolished in the next 2 weeks," and that the developer will invite county officials to a groundbreaking ceremony the morning of July 1.
Taylor thanked the board for its prior support of PACE financing and said he expects the project to contribute to local economic activity. No zoning or permitting actions were taken by the board at the meeting; Taylor's update was delivered during the public‑comment portion and summarized project timing and an upcoming invitation.
