The Morris Township Planning Board on June 16 adopted a resolution memorializing its prior unanimous approval of an amended preliminary and final major site plan for Morristown Motors, at 169–171 Ridgetale Avenue.
The board’s adoption affirms that the prior approval was unanimous and includes conditions requiring shielded site lighting, a nighttime lighting dimming or shutoff by 9 p.m., installation of landscaping, paving of an existing gravel parking area, construction of sidewalk and curbing, and stormwater-management improvements.
The resolution was read into the record at the start of the meeting and the board voted to accept the resolution as drafted. The board confirmed the vote on the earlier approval was 9–0 and that the new resolution reflects that unanimous decision and the conditions of approval.
The planning board did not reopen substantive debate on the facts of the application at the time of resolution adoption; the motion was to accept the written memorialization of the board’s earlier unanimous approval and conditions.
The planning board moved on to other agenda items after the roll call confirmed acceptance of the resolution.
