A staff presenter noted the new history text was published in late 2024 and “is a resource for teachers. It’s not necessarily chapter and verse.” Board members also confirmed the purchase includes both hard-copy books and an online component with primary-source links and videos.
During discussion, members clarified that the district displayed the textbook copies at the high school library and the curriculum office during the public review period. No public comments were offered when the board asked for them.
