High school students describe class activities and outreach at district meeting

She said the class participated in Read Across America at Park Avenue Elementary School and distributed pamphlets with contact information to help freshmen and other students learn how to get involved in school activities.
"We also do...a follow-up...the class of 20...and we also do summer conditioning and get involved early summer," one student speaker said, describing efforts to recruit athletes and engage students in off-season programs.
The students thanked district officials and said weather-related cancellations affected some planned events but overall the activities proceeded. They asked for continued contact and coordination with coaches and staff so students can join summer conditioning and extracurricular programs.
The remarks were delivered as part of public comments and informational updates; no formal action resulted from the presentation.
