Council: Laconia paving imminent; contractor to repave and warranty work planned for Barber Street and Schuman Drive

Council members and staff also discussed Barber Street repaving. Councilmember (unnamed) said the city promptly notified the contractor after finding a "substandard" wavy, bumpy section on the first segment just past the curve up to Schumann. The contractor accepted the claim and will perform a mill-and-overlay to smooth the area; work was expected to start late this week or early next week. The contractor will also perform warranty work on Schuman Drive where a warranty claim was filed.
