Council members and municipal staff said the interim work will include a five-foot painted buffer, bicycle boxes at signalized intersections, striped median extensions to create pedestrian refuges, diagonal buffer markings at driveways and reflective delineators approaching right-turn areas. The pilot will remain in place while the town evaluates data and until a schedule is set for permanent curb and sidewalk improvements.
