Members said they would expect staff answers before the committee prepares a final package of amendments for the full council.

The group also used the meeting to mark discrete editorial and policy clarifications as “revise” or “remove” on the draft plan; many of those were treated as directions to planning staff rather than formal council votes. The committee set a follow-up procedural step: it will meet briefly before the next council meeting to vote, as a committee, to transmit the final recommendations to staff for technical review and return with staff responses prior to any council-level amendments or final vote.
