Grant County commissioners on June 26 adopted a resolution (R-25-42) to proceed with architect services for the Gila Community Center under the county’s on-call contract with NCA Architects.

County staff told commissioners the schematic design phase has been completed with community feedback and that the resolution would permit NCA to develop construction drawings using a 2023 general-fund appropriation earmarked for the project. There were no recorded objections and the motion carried on voice vote.

Why it matters: moving from schematic design to construction drawings is the next step in preparing a capital project for bidding and construction and signals staff intent to pursue appropriation funds already set aside for the project.
