The Dayton Public Schools Board of Education approved several fiscal motions at its July 27 special meeting, including actions to certify resources and make intra‑year transfers needed to manage district finances.
Madam Treasurer presented the fiscal recommendations, saying, "I recommend the approval of the following, B, fiscal year 20 26, property tax insurances, C, permanent certificate of estimated resources, D, permanent appropriation major for fiscal year 20 25, E, temporary advance, F, permanent transfer, G, resolution to use, Dayton Foundation account." The district presented those items together for board action.
Miss Wicks moved approval of the fiscal package; Miss Reiner seconded. The board voted to approve the fiscal items; the meeting record shows six affirmative votes (President Goodwin, Dr. Bailey, Mr. Smith, Miss Reinhardt, Mr. Walker and Miss Wake) resulting in the motion passing. The approval covers certification and appropriation steps the administration said were needed to finalize the district's resource and appropriation positions for the indicated fiscal years and to authorize transfers and use of the Dayton Foundation account (see actions).
