The district clerk read final results from the May 20 election: Proposition 1 (the 2025–26 budget) passed 994–247, and Proposition 2 (acquisition of school buses) passed 973–269. The clerk reported 1,253 total ballots cast, including 224 absentee or early mail ballots; two hand‑counted ballots were added to the final totals.
At Tuesday’s meeting the board approved a bond resolution authorizing the district to purchase and finance school buses in an amount not to exceed $2,125,000. The resolution was moved and seconded and carried unanimously.
District officials said the formal, detailed transfer of any unappropriated fund balance to reserve funds will be presented after the external audit is complete; a reserve‑fund resolution of intent was approved at the meeting to permit transfers prior to the fiscal‑year close, and a detailed resolution will be presented at the September board meeting following the audit.
The board voted unanimously to accept the final election report and to approve the bus‑purchase bond resolution.
