The Bradley County Planning Commission unanimously approved a rezoning request for 3410 Benton Pike (Tax Map 51, Parcel 36.3) to I‑1 general industrial on June 26.
Property owner Michael Maslov told the commission his business, Anatol Exteriors, already operates a warehouse on the site and that he believed an earlier rezoning effort had been started but not completed. “We’ve been in business for 30 years,” Maslov said, and asked that the commission rezone the parcel so the current and planned operations conform with the county code.
Planning staff noted that an I‑1 designation would change setback requirements (larger front, side and rear setbacks compared with FAR) and that the existing building would be grandfathered under the new classification. The commission moved and approved the rezoning by roll call; the action brings the property into the county’s industrial zoning category and clears a zoning mismatch noted by the owner.
The approval is effective as a recommendation of the planning commission and will be processed with county records. Any future expansions or new industrial uses will be subject to the I‑1 development standards and permitting requirements.
