Committee members were told the DeBary Hall work represents an additional $456,000 proposed into the direct county expenditure plan spread across fiscal years 2026 through 2029.
The update was presented as part of the packet of new projects that staff will bring to the County Council on July 22 for formal approval. A committee member asked whether the exterior lighting work previously associated with the courthouse remained in the plan; staff replied that lighting had been removed from the direct county expenditure plan but that Facilities had taken the lighting project in-house and it is moving forward.
Committee members asked for a completion date for the courthouse work; staff said they would get an update after speaking with the department director. No formal vote or binding decision on the expenditure entries was made by the advisory committee; the items were presented for review ahead of the County Council consideration.
Committee members and staff stressed that scheduling and final timelines depend on department planning and County Council approval. The items will appear on the County Council agenda on July 22 for any formal appropriations or changes to the county expenditure schedule.
