The Twinsburg Board of Education voted unanimously Tuesday to approve an appropriations resolution for fiscal year 2025, adopt a temporary budget for fiscal year 2026 and authorize several related fiscal items, including a contract for five‑year forecasting services.
The board approved the FY2025 appropriations resolution and the proposed temporary budget for FY2026, and authorized a fund transfer of $8,059.04 from the district agency OHSAA fund (022) to the general fund (001). The board also approved a contract with K12 Consulting Inc., of New Albany, Ohio, to prepare the district's five‑year forecast; the contract is a general fund expense with additional travel costs not to exceed $7,900 if required, according to materials sent to the board under separate cover.
Why it matters: The appropriations resolution and temporary budget set legal spending limits for the district and allow administrators to continue operations while the board finalizes the formal FY2026 budget. The five‑year forecast contract provides financial modeling the district will use in multiyear planning.
Most of the board's fiscal business was presented “as sent to the board under separate cover,” meaning detailed line items and supporting exhibits were provided in board materials rather than read verbatim during the meeting. The motion to approve the listed fiscal items was moved by Missus Hamilton, seconded by Missus Travis, and passed on a roll call vote of 4–0.
Board members and staff noted that the district will continue to monitor state budget activity that could affect the district’s long‑range planning but did not take additional fiscal action at the meeting. The board did not receive public comment on these agenda items.
Next steps: District staff will implement the approved appropriations and begin work under the K12 Consulting contract per the terms in the board materials; specific dates and deliverables were provided in the contract documents sent to the board.
