Boone County held a public hearing Thursday to receive comments on a proposed sale of general obligation alternate bonds in the amount of $7,500,000 to finance county capital improvements; no public comments were offered and the hearing was closed.
The county announced the hearing location and schedule: it will be held before the county board at 6:30 p.m. on June 26, 2025, in the County Boardroom at 1212 Logan Avenue in Belvidere. County staff noted the notice was required by state statute. When the chair asked if anyone wished to speak on the proposed bond sale, no one came forward and the chair closed the hearing.
The hearing record will be part of the bond-issuance file; no vote to sell bonds occurred during the hearing itself.
