A staff member presented a request from Winners Computer LLC, on behalf of owner 4SUNS Development, to install a 22.6‑square‑foot routed composite building sign at 114 South Market Street. Staff said the building is permitted up to 30 square feet of building signage and recommended approval, noting the sign will use three‑dimensional routed lettering and that digital print graphics will be limited to the "computer area" of the sign. Staff said the applicant will remove the existing building sign if the new sign is approved and that a separate window sign replacement was approved administratively.
The commission voted to approve the certificate of appropriateness by voice/roll call.
Staff also presented a request from Christina Gregory on behalf of Troy Auto Detail Intent LLC for a 24‑square‑foot building sign at 222 East Main Street. Staff said the building is permitted up to 72 square feet of building signage and recommended approval; the proposed sign would be aluminum composite material with three‑dimensional routed lettering, white lettering with a light blue logo and black backing. Staff added that a minor administrative amendment to the building — replacing a non‑historic garage door — had been approved administratively. The commission approved the 24‑square‑foot sign by motion and roll call.
Both approvals were presented as meeting the City of Troy sign code and Section 5.4 of the design manual, per staff recommendations. No conditions beyond standard sign code compliance were adopted at the meeting.
