Boone County approved two change orders Thursday for renovations at the Public Safety Building: change order number 10 for the basement renovation in the amount of $654,977, and change order number 11 for main-level restroom renovation in the amount of $95,949.
County staff said Ringlund (Randall) Johnson is the contractor for the McKinley project and that, per the design-build procurement, the county could issue change orders for smaller scope items. Becky and project staff explained the basement work and restroom renovations are needed to modernize older fixtures and to match current program needs. Randy Darnell of CCS reviewed the proposals and recommended moving forward.
Both motions passed by roll call. Project staff will proceed with implementation and provide updates as needed.
