At the Cornwall Central High School commencement for the class of 2025, Principal Catherine Wilhelm recognized five staff members who are retiring after decades of service to the district.

The retirements span more than a century of combined service and representatives from instruction, counseling, athletics and school safety. "This year, 5 dedicated members of our faculty and staff are retiring," Wilhelm said, thanking them for work that has "shaped the school community and supported students with professionalism, care, and unwavering commitment."

Wilhelm identified the retirees by name and role: Matt Cook, a Cornwall Central High School graduate and social studies teacher with 30 years at the high school; Julie Moran, Academic Intervention Services teacher, 35 years; Bridal Creedon, coach and business teacher, 35 years; Kathy Finnerty, a member of the security staff known affectionately in the transcript as "Kathy Security," 21 years; and one additional retiree referenced as part of the same group. Wilhelm invited each to "cross our stage" as part of the ceremony.

The school community applauded the retirees during the ceremony. No formal district action or personnel votes were recorded during the commencement; the recognitions were part of the graduation program and were presented as acknowledgements rather than board motions or resolutions.
