Richland County approves routine financial items; employee-termination motion not advanced

At its June 26 meeting, the Richland County Board of Commissioners approved routine administrative items including month-end Brooklyn transfers and a lease renewal for space at the OhioMeansJobs building.
County commissioner Cliff Mears presented the lease renewal as a regular renewal "for the same price," and the board moved and seconded the item. The motion to approve the month-end Brooklyn transfers was also moved, seconded and recorded as approved.
Separately, Mears said he had "a motion to terminate a Dayspring employee, basically, and come back to work. No move." The transcript records that the termination motion did not advance (no second), and no formal action or vote was recorded on that item during the meeting.
