But I don't wanna bring kids who don't live here to play sports,” he said. “I wanna win. I wanna celebrate wins, but I don't wanna win at any cost.” He said he would speak with the coach and players and review the facts, noting summer basketball has a development focus.
The superintendent asked for patience while the district gathers information and said he would update the board after fact‑finding. He also said he wanted to hear from players who are “being immediately impacted.” No formal disciplinary action was announced at the meeting.
The public commenter was read anonymously; the board did not provide a public response beyond the superintendent’s pledge to investigate.
