Letter Carrier Food Drive: Staunton finishes second nationally; local pounds and donations rise

Cindy Connors addressed council during matters from the public on June 26 to report results of the national Letter Carrier Food Drive. She said Staunton collected 15,757 pounds of food and, when cash donations are converted for credit, the city’s total equaled $55,861 and 88,892 meals donated to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and local pantries.
