Board adopts final budgets: $88.8 million for district, $4.59 million for career and tech center

The Connellsville Area School District board on June 24 approved the final general fund budget for the district in the amount of $88,805,046 for the 2025–2026 school year and approved the final general fund budget for the Connellsville Valley Career and Technical Center in the amount of $4,592,114 for the 2025–2026 school year.
The motions were presented during the finance portion of the meeting and were seconded and carried. The board also authorized the district business office to process attached requisitions and payments as part of normal operations.
During remarks following the vote, board members and administrators were thanked for efforts to reduce the budget; Mr. Detwiler specifically thanked administration and directors by name for contributing to lowering the budget. The board noted that the finance committee met on June 25, 2025, to review finance items and that the budget approvals represent the final general fund totals for the coming fiscal year.
No amendments to the approved totals were recorded in the meeting. The approvals were recorded as formal board actions and will allow staff to proceed with purchasing and payroll within the adopted budgets.
