The Pacific Grove Unified School District Board on Thursday approved an extension of Superintendent Dr. Adamson's employment agreement by one year, through June 30, 2028, and granted a 2% cost-of-living adjustment to the superintendent and certificated management employees.
Board President Dr. Hazen read the financial changes packaged with the agreement: a one-year extension contingent on a satisfactory evaluation, a 2% salary increase under section 2a, progression to the 2025-26 step on the superintendent salary schedule under section 5b, and a one-year mentor coaching stipend of up to $3,000. "The term of the agreement will be extended by one year with an expiration date of 06/30/2028 based on the satisfactory evaluation," the president said.
Trustees moved to approve the employment agreement and voted 4-0 in favor. "It was an easy decision," Trustee Schumas said in support of the extension.
Ending: The board approved the superintendent's employment agreement changes and will continue its oversight through the standard evaluation process required under the contract.
