Planning staff updated the board on activity at a property on Smith Road that previously had code and cleanup issues and noted recent ramped‑up activity by the new owner.
“The owner of record is Michael Sandborn,” staff said, and reported that the property had been cleaned up recently under a conveyance agreement. Staff said they contacted the owner and gave two weeks for an engineer to call; the owner has since contacted staff and said he is “actively working on a site plan.”
Staff told the board that if the applicant had not responded, staff would have pursued a cease‑and‑desist order. The board was advised that the owner has applied for some electrical permits but that those permit applications have not been acted upon to date.
Board members asked staff to continue monitoring the site and to return to the board if activity stagnates or if a site plan is not filed within the requested timeframe. No enforcement action was taken at the meeting.
