MidAmerican Energy updates Page County on turbine deliveries, dust control; local crews report few complaints

A MidAmerican Energy representative updated the Page County Board of Supervisors on wind‑project activity and dust control. The company confirmed magnesium chloride was applied 200 feet in each direction in front of residences along the route, and said turbines and related components are beginning to arrive in neighboring Fremont County with Page County installations still weeks out.
"In addition to the intersections, we did put out magnesium chloride 200 feet in each direction in front of all the residences along the whole route," the MidAmerican representative said. He added that weather has slowed some activities and that the site in Page County is currently performing concrete pours and rebar work.
MidAmerican staff said they have not received a high volume of complaints since the previous update and that one‑off problems are addressed as they come up. A county participant observed conditions have shifted "from dusty to muddy very quickly" due to recent rains. The company said it will continue weekly updates and remain available to address local questions and concerns.
