The City Council authorized the city manager on June 23 to negotiate and execute a renewal agreement with Great Plains Consulting LLC for construction inspection services required by loan agreements and capital-improvement projects.
Mike Stewart, director of public works, told the council Great Plains had provided inspection services for several years and that staff recommends renewing the relationship. He said inspectors attend critical pours and key project moments and that some Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) projects require third‑party inspection.
Stewart stated the monthly fee figure in the materials as approximately $13,006.70. Council amended the agenda motion to authorize the city manager “to negotiate and execute” (rather than simply “execute”) the contract. The amended motion passed on roll call.
