Council continues Transportation Improvement Plan hearing; staff to present TIP at next meeting

Nick Dosti, deputy director of public works and city engineer, told the Sequim City Council that the Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) presentation would be postponed because of logistical oversights and formally scheduled for the council's next meeting.
"Due to some logistical oversights, I will actually be presenting officially the TIP for its second touch at the next city council meeting," said Nick Dosti, city engineer and deputy director of public works. He said the TIP remains open for public comment until that presentation is made.
The council opened the public hearing as noticed on the agenda but recorded that no members of the public had signed up to speak the night of the meeting; after confirming that, the council agreed to continue the public hearing to its next regular meeting so the full presentation and any public comments can be heard together.
The meeting record did not include a formal vote on the continuance; the transcript shows the council agreed to take the item up at the next meeting. The next regular meeting time was announced as 6:00 p.m. on July 14; staff said they will return with the TIP for its second review.
