Board approves superintendent evaluation with near-perfect scores for 2024–25
Summary

Mr. Patrick explained the annual superintendent evaluation process and presented the compiled scores to the Lake County School Board on June 23.
“Part 1 is based on standards and professional practices with a perfect score being 375 points. The superintendent received 369 out of 375 points for Part 1, which is 98%,” Mr. Patrick said. “Part 2 of the evaluation is based on student performance objectives with a perfect score being 2 points. The superintendent received a score of 2 for Part 2, which is 100%.”
Chairman Bradenburg asked for a motion to approve the evaluation instrument ratings for the 2024–25 school year. Mr. Dodd moved to approve; Mr. Mathias seconded. The board voted unanimously to approve the evaluation.
Why it matters: the annual evaluation and any resulting employment-agreement implications are a routine governance responsibility; the near-perfect ratings formally record the board’s assessment for the public record. The board referenced school board policy 1040 (evaluation of the appointed superintendent and the superintendent’s employment agreement) as the governing procedure for the evaluation process.
