Superintendent updates board on school construction progress and district data platform training

Superintendent Julie Nielsen briefed the board June 26 on ongoing construction work at multiple district sites and on a districtwide rollout of a new data and intervention platform.
Nielsen said construction crews have been active across campus projects: "If you were to drive by Crestview and Park High School, you would see a mud mess right now with all of the rain," she told the board, noting work on drive and parking access at Crestview and additions at Park High. At East Ridge she said new entries and an athletic-area expansion are underway and that a portion of a storm shelter has been installed; at Woodbury Middle School crews were installing fiber. Nielsen also described sidewalk work near Woodbury Elementary and referenced large bonded construction authority voters approved earlier in the district's facilities program.
On data systems, Nielsen said staff completed training on EduCLIMBER, a district platform for documenting student interventions and analyzing data. "That program ... is called EduCLIMBER. But it's going to be our 1 stop shop, for documenting student intervention as well as taking a look at our data," she said. The superintendent said system leaders receive weekly construction updates and that work continues through the summer.
