The African American Equity Restoration Task Force discussed publishing a resource page on the city website and preparing printed outreach materials and event presence for summer and fall community activities.
Members said the draft web page will centralize resources by the task force's focus areas and that staff will finalize the page before wider distribution. A task force member said, “I made these cards for that, and it's gonna be kinda, like, a note card size,” describing small table cards intended to prompt community members to share their vision at events. The group discussed adding a QR code on brochures so visitors can quickly access the resource page.
Task force members also talked through event logistics. They noted the task force did not have a branded table or shirts at a recent Juneteenth pavilion and discussed having a presence at an August 8 event and the August Shoes for School drive; a member said the Shoes for School sign-up ends in a couple of weeks. Members stressed accessibility for materials and the need for child-friendly items (for example, drawing cards for small children).
The group discussed sponsorship logistics for events that require tickets and coordinating volunteer coverage; staff agreed to track available seats and ticket needs for upcoming events. No formal vote on outreach materials or event budgeting was recorded during the discussion.
The task force directed staff to finalize the resource page and to produce the table cards and brochures with QR codes for use at upcoming community events.
