Westbury announces K–8 summer programs, schedules and services
Summary
The district outlined multiple K–8 summer offerings including STEAM, Active Zone intramurals, fine and performing arts, multilingual learner programming and extended school year special education services; breakfast, lunch and transportation will be provided.
Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, Elementary Robin Barnett and staff told the board on June 10 that Westbury’s K–8 summer programming will offer a menu of signature options, with different start dates and lengths designed to let families combine offerings.
Barnett said a two-week STEAM program called Westbury Futuremakers will run July 7–17, Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. for entering grades 1–8.…
