Director of Student Support Services Amy Petrowski presented the recommendation and said the contract provides 13 therapists to be co‑located in Burnsville schools to address student mental health needs.
Petrowski recommended the board approve the Washburn Center agreement totaling $628,000 for the 2025–26 school year and authorized the executive director of administrative services to execute the agreement. Director Chester moved approval; Director Nicholson seconded. The board approved the contract by voice vote and the chair declared the motion carried unanimously.
Petrowski described the partnership as critical to providing direct mental‑health supports in buildings; no additional budget amendments were requested at the meeting.
