The District 191 Board of Education unanimously adopted the fiscal year 2026 budget at its June 26 meeting. Tyler Denny, director of finance, presented the recommendation and said the budget was developed to support the district mission and strategic goals.
The board approved a budget listing all‑funds revenues of $215,872,026 and all‑funds expenditures of $227,825,535 for FY 2026. Director Hume moved adoption; Director Tessler seconded the motion. Board members had no additional discussion and voted by voice; the chair declared the motion carried unanimously.
Denny told the board the FY 2026 budget will be revised during the 2025–26 year to reflect actual enrollment, staffing, state and federal updates and audit results. He recommended the board adopt the budget as presented with the understanding that adjustments will be made as required during the fiscal year.
