Seaford Mayor and Council approved a subdivision June 24 for the Church of God property at 425 North Arch (tax parcel 431‑2‑5) to split the campus parcel into two lots so the house on the parcel can be sold separately.
Planning staff said the proposed lot meets the R‑2 (medium density residential) area and bulk requirements: the minimum lot size for R‑2 is 4,500 square feet and a minimum width of 35 feet; the proposed new house lot is 5,140 square feet with a width of 65 feet and meets applicable setbacks. Planning and Zoning recommended approval at its June 5 meeting.
The motion to approve the subdivision was made by Councilwoman Stephanie Grasset, seconded by Councilman Orlando Holland. The council took a roll call vote and approved the subdivision unanimously. Staff recorded the findings of fact in the record and said the subdivision meets the zoning standards for the R‑2 district.
